Proper Disposal of Household Hazardous Waste

Bring household hazardous waste products to the Yuba-Sutter Disposal, Inc., Household Hazardous Waste Facility located at:

Saturday (530) 671-6900

HOURS: Saturdays from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
DISPOSAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • For Yuba and Sutter County residents only.
  • Bring products in their original containers.
  • If the product label is missing, clearly list the contents on the container, if known.
  • Used motor oil and oil filters should be placed in a clean spill-proof container.
  • 15 gallons or 125 lbs. is the maximum amount of hazardous waste that may be hauled per trip by State law.
  • Transport hazardous waste in containers no larger than 5 gallons. Larger containers, such as 55 gallon drums, can not be accepted.
WE DO NOT ACCEPT:
  • Unlabeled materials
  • Asbestos
  • Ammunition & explosives
  • Radioactive materials
  • Compressed gas & propane cylinders
 		DO NOT dispose of Hazardous Waste in:
  • Garbage toter
  • Dumpster
  • Burn Barrel
  • Street Drain

Shop for recycled products like paint, gardening supplies, automotive fluids and free cleaning products. Every item in the Reuse Center is FREE! Product availability may vary from week to week.

Bring surplus household hazardous waste to the Yuba-Sutter Household Hazardous Waste Facility where it can be placed in the Reuse Center, recycled, or disposed of properly.
