Yuba-Sutter Disposal, Inc. (YSDI) cannot collect debris boxes, bins, or carts (garbage, recycling, or green waste), which contain ANY:
  • Electronic Waste
  • Fluorescent and High Intensity Discharge (HID) light tubes, bulbs, or lamps
  • All Batteries (alkaline, carbon zinc, rechargeable, button, etc)

Prohibited Electronic Waste Includes:

  • Televisions and computer monitors
  • Telephones and answering machines
  • Computers and computer peripherals
  • Radios
  • Video record and play equipment
  • Calculators
  • Audio/Stereo record and play equipment
  • Microwave ovens
ELECTRONIC WASTES ARE NOW ACCEPTED AT THE BURNS DRIVE HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE FACILITY.

Yuba-Sutter Disposal, Inc. - Electronic WasteTo Properly Dispose of Electronic Waste: Electronic Waste can be dropped off at the YSDI Transfer Station, 3001 N. Levee Road, Marysville from 7:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. seven days a week or the Burns Drive Household Hazardous Waste Facility on Saturdays from
8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. There is no charge for electronic waste items, but garbage weight charges will be applied to the entire load if other garbage items are dropped off at the same time.

To Properly Dispose of Batteries and Fluorescent/HID Lamps: Consumer batteries and fluorescent and HID light tubes, bulbs, and lamps generated by HOUSEHOLDS can be dropped off FREE at the Yuba Sutter Household Hazardous Waste Facility, 134 Burns Drive, Yuba City on SATURDAYS only from 8 am to 4 pm.

Disposal of consumer batteries and fluorescent/HID lamps by BUSINESSES, schools, non-profit groups, and government agencies, requires an APPOINTMENT for mid-week delivery to the Burns Drive Facility. There is a fee to deliver non-household waste. Please call 749-4217 to schedule an appointment or for information on other disposal options.
